Sriracha Soy Sauce Chicken Drumsticks

Prep time 10 min + overnight marinating
Cook time 40 min

6 large chicken drumsticks (1 1/2-2 lbs)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
Place chicken on the BBQ indirectly over the heat/ flames
1 1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce
4 cloves minced garlic
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Red chili flakes to sprinkle on the chicken just before baking

Mix the 5 marinating ingredients together in a bowl. Place in a zip lock bag with the chicken and ensure the sauce is covering it evenly. Store in the fridge overnight or for at least 5 hrs.

Before baking, sprinkle red chili flakes over the legs and bake in the oven at 375F for 35-40 min.

If you are barbecuing the meat, turn 1 or 2 burners on (not all of the burners) to medium-high and place them on the side indirectly over the heat (not directly over the flame). Turn every 10 min and cook at 375F for 35-40 min until the internal temperature is 165F.

At 30 min, move them over the flame to get some char to your liking.

Check the internal temperature with a food thermometer and remove from the grill at 165F.
